Works on Video Files Too!
I’ve used this to edit the meta-data for music and it works like a charm, easy to use etc etc. I’ve tested this on a copy of a small music collection first and did as expected. BUT THEN, I decided to use this on movie files and it does the same exact thing (but isn’t advertised). I’m very particular with my digital movie collection, and couldn’t get rid of the annoying meta data for my movie files until using this program. For example, when I would open a movie file in VLC, the file name would be "My Cool Movie.m4v" but under VLC it would show up like "my.cool.movie.720p-BD-xvid-blah-blah" or "My Cool Series Season 1 Disc 1". No big deal? Not really because this meta data would also mess with my Plex Media Server way too much. So there is a setting to “Use File Name” to set the title meta data, and you can save to all and over write the files in place instead of copying a bunch of files to a new directory. It took a while to modify the meta data on many movie files, but it was worth it (1700 movies, about 8 hours). Ensure you have a back up of your data first to ensure no data loss just in case. Keep up the great work developer, def worth the $6.
