Bug

Not possible to rename File name. This version was bugged

Works like a sharm

Don’t understand those one star votes. This program works flawless. Open one Audio File or many audio files mit right klick in Finder and then Edit all the details and safe everything within the same file. Helps to keep your collection clean. Perfect! Thank you

Meh - More Trouble Than It’s Worth

Downloaded as an update to the previous version (which I was very happy with), now artwork will not download for ANY file. Buyer beware!

3.0.1 is Working

This is an update from my last review. The newest version 3.0.1 works. They fixed the problems that 3.0.0 had. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not buy this until a new update is released (Current version is 3.0.0). App Transport Security is not allowing app to get metadata or image on music. VERSION 3.0.0 DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED.

Well designed, works well, only one minor frustration

The interface is clean and fairly well designed. It has some nice features like the ability to create templates and automate the application of specific text, or a leading portion of the file name to various fields. One frustration is that none of my changes to preferences (such as customizing the toolbar or the tag fields to be displayed) ever stick. They are reset to the default every time I launch the app. It’s hard to believe that the product would have ever been release with this flaw, as it is a total failure of the feature. So, perhaps it’s unique to my installation. But, it’s a drawback for me, hence the four-star rating. It would have been five stars otherwise.

I Would Have Given Five Stars But...

I would have given five stars but I cannot get the batch apply feature to work. You can click the Apply To All button to save to multiple files but when you save all it does not apply the changes to each file. It’s a pain in the butt to go into each file and write the same info over and over. An email to customer service has gone unanswered for more than a week and no repsonse via their website either. So for that I will have to advise it’s great if you are changing a single file but mutiple files will be labor intensive.

Almost perfect

This app works as advertised. I have no hesitation recommending this app to anyone. My ONLY “complaint” is that I can’t edit the metadata of M4B files. But I’ve got NameChanger for complex batch renaming.

Works on Video Files Too!

I’ve used this to edit the meta-data for music and it works like a charm, easy to use etc etc. I’ve tested this on a copy of a small music collection first and did as expected. BUT THEN, I decided to use this on movie files and it does the same exact thing (but isn’t advertised). I’m very particular with my digital movie collection, and couldn’t get rid of the annoying meta data for my movie files until using this program. For example, when I would open a movie file in VLC, the file name would be "My Cool Movie.m4v" but under VLC it would show up like "my.cool.movie.720p-BD-xvid-blah-blah" or "My Cool Series Season 1 Disc 1". No big deal? Not really because this meta data would also mess with my Plex Media Server way too much. So there is a setting to “Use File Name” to set the title meta data, and you can save to all and over write the files in place instead of copying a bunch of files to a new directory. It took a while to modify the meta data on many movie files, but it was worth it (1700 movies, about 8 hours). Ensure you have a back up of your data first to ensure no data loss just in case. Keep up the great work developer, def worth the $6.

Does not fully work with videos

The app does not allow one to add a movie rating tag like R, PG, PG-13 etc.

Problem with flac files

I really enjoy the interface and the program is easy to use, however the program doesn’t recognize the genre tag when importing flac files nor will it update the genre tag for flac files when you try to make an edit of the genre tag. Could the bug please be addressed in an update?

Very good app

Practical, plenty of options and easy to use it. I recommend it!

Need Improvement

The batch command not allways what it is suppose to.

Only basic functions

Im realy disapointed about the functions are offered and how they work. I thougt that this programm will help me with mp3 before I add it to iTunes. I feel that I waste the money. Only basic editing is possible, couldnt get prommised function to run. No album images, batch processing left single songs out and and and. File name list is only resizable inside the boarder of the list, full sized window wont allow biger file list. No itunes properties found, no "apply to all" is working. I really hope that are some function comming soon that will explain the price. iTunes is a luxus editor compare to this app. Please see what MP3Tag for Windows offers, that would be a editor. I give one star to honour the programming efforts. Please make it a good one and don"t make it a money waist.

Acceptable for basic tag editing

Acceptable for the casual editing of tags, and simple to use. However, missing the "Part of a Compitation" tag. Automatic download of artwork does not always work, and the use has no control over where the artwork is fetched, and to selected matched artwork. In summary, a promising application that needs a bit more polishing.

Basic program

Not useful for the tag editing needed. Only basic options to edit.

waste of money

Shitty and useless app.

Doesn’t work well with iTunes 12

Usually, all tunes tag, doesn’t appear with their informations on iTunes (but iTunes 12 is so calamitous… where is the problem Music Tag Editor or iTunes ? Anyway, it doesn’t work well, so I lost a 5,99$)...

"track numbers" does not save changes to the new version!

New versiyon good but there are some problems about the track number! does not save my changes making a change, but does not record… Please Fix it :)

tag editor must have more automatic function

tag editor must have more automatic functions. for example: copy one of tag content to file name or combine all tags content to file name. copy file name to one of tag (title) or few tags. And it must convert transliteration for other language (russian)

Great app, but

Please add the function of the filling tags from the filename, as is done in the program Tagger. And please add the support iTunes format description field (used in the podcasts). In advance I put 5 stars. Thank you!
